I am a dual Canadian US citizen and have lived in Vancouver, Canada my whole life. I am a graduate of a two-year diploma program from BCIT. I have worked professionally as a Geotechnical Engineering Technologist for GeoPacific Consultants in Vancouver's construction industry. In this position, I worked in a consulting role where I did environmental monitoring and soil inspection. I gained valuable experience communicating with clients and coworkers in a technical role where a high standard of professionalism was required.

My interests are in philosophy, science and the future of technology. I enjoy reading, refer to my top books for some suggestions, and consider learning to be a constant journey. My top genres are philosophy and science, Marcus Aurelius and Lucius Seneca are two great philosophers I enjoy the works of. learning from them and others like them is something I consider a great privilege.

Learning on my own about current research and what is possible in the future motivated me to return to school to complete a degree in engineering. I am currently attending Capilano University Engineering Transfer program and plan to transfer to UBC to finish my engineering degree. I am on a journey, I don't know the destination, I do know however that I want to make an impact and live a great life. To this end I am highly motivated.
